The Butterfly is a luxury high-rise condominium development coming soon to downtown Vancouver.
Location
Prospective buyers will find this development at 1019 Nelson Street, between Burrard and Thurlow Streets, in the heart of Vancouver. This is a very walkable neighbourhood. Residents can easily walk to a wide selection of shops, cafes and restaurants. The Pacific Centre shopping centre is an 8 minute walk. Design
Designed by architect Bing Thom, the Butterfly features curved quadrants that create a shape that resembles the outline of its namesake. Its organic flow is designed to incorporate it seamlessly into the existing environment, bringing together both natural and urban elements.
The building’s spacious lobby is draped in curved layers of suspended white fabrics. It features white terrazzo flooring with gold and silver accents, sculptural bench seating and a custom white Fazioli piano.
Units
The Butterfly houses 331 units over 57 storeys. Units range in size from just over 600 square feet to over 4000 square feet, and contain 1 to 3 bedrooms. Some of the larger units also have an atelier and family room. Units feature large scale matte white flooring throughout all living areas. Kitchen are Italian-crafted, and include custom designed organically shaped islands with eucalyptus wood base and white matte solid surface countertops. They also include an integrated cantilevered dining table. Bathrooms are spa-like.
Amenities
Residents of the Butterfly can enjoy a wellness and aqua centre. This centre includes a fully-equipped fitness studio, yoga room and lounge space, as well as a 50m lap pool, hot tub and sauna. Residents also have access to a private car and bike share service, consisting of 3 BMW vehicles and 12 BMW bicycles. Pet owners can use a pet wash and relief area.
